About
Izzy López is a writer and artist whose work focuses on memory, truth, and identity.
Embracing a nonlinear approach to storytelling, Izzy seeks to understand her collage of identities and to elevate the extraordinary in everyday life. She often accesses these stories through food and food writing (think: tostones and blueberry pie) and she can be found wherever there is a good story and a great meal.

In addition to her writing, Izzy is a mixed media collage artist who create works from found items.
Her essays have appeared in America's Test Kitchen, Penn Appétit, The Red Cedar Review, r.kv.r.y. quarterly literary journal, F-Word Magazine, The Penn Review and WXPN's The Key.
Izzy received a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania in May 2019. In addition to her writing, she works in higher education marketing, where she leads social media and brand storytelling. She lives in West Philadelphia with a mountain of craft supplies in a studio apartment.
